Organisation
Eurobitume was founded in 1969, with the principal organisational vision to be the first reference for bitumen in Europe. Through this vision, we work with our members, local and national and European authorities, governments, and regulatory bodies to implement projects across the continent, establish industry guidelines and best practices, create effective testing procedures, critical safety standards, and more.
Working through three key principles of a Unified Voice, Product Stewardship, and Sustainable Development, we work holistically as one organisation for the European bitumen industry.
Eurobitume members participate in four key expert committees, covering all aspects of importance to the industry: HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) supported by the Safe Handling Sub-committee, TC (Technical Committee), PRC (Public Relations and Communication), and BSSG (Bitumen Sustainability Steering Group). Each of these works cohesively to establish Eurobitume’s position on a variety of topics, as well as ensure members are informed about current and future events or issues the industry may face.
