New President elected at Eurobitume
Brussels, 10th April 2025 – Fabrice Blanc, VP for TotalEnergies’ Bitumen Business Worldwide is the new President of Eurobitume after being elected at the association’s recent (2nd-3rd April 2025) Spring General Meeting in Prague, where Eurobitume members also elected a new Vice President and Treasurer.
Fabrice commented: “It is an honour to have been elected Eurobitume President at such an interesting and exciting time for the industry. During my 12-month tenure as President, my focus will include communicating bitumen’s place in a sustainable, circular economy and continuing to ensure that Eurobitume meets the needs of its members.”

The three new senior officers elected at Euobitume’s Spring meeting are:
- Fabrice Blanc (TotalEnergies) – President – Fabrice is Vice President for TotalEnergies Bitumen business worldwide. Since 2023, Fabrice has been a member of Eurobitume’s Board of Directors and was Eurobitume Vice President for a year, from April 2024 to April 2025.
- Sergio Bovo – Eurobitume’s new Vice President is CEO of Italy-based bitumen producer Alma Petroli.
- Jean-Nicolas Desprez – Eurobitume’s new Treasurer is Bitumen Technical & Quality Manager for Europe within Shell Trading & Supply.
Fabrice, Sergio and Jean-Nicolas will help drive Eurobitume forward in pursuit of its Vision and Mission:

As well as the new Senior Officers, Eurobitume members also elected an 11-strong Board of Directors which included two new representatives: Tim Metcalf from Core Member company FM Conway and Mario Sandor from Associate Member BASF:
