Eurobitume members gather in Amsterdam for Autumn General Meeting

Eurobitume welcomed members to Amsterdam on 13–14 October 2026 for its Autumn General Meeting. Bringing together representatives from across the membership, the event offered an opportunity to review the association’s activities, exchange expertise and discuss priorities for the months ahead.
This year’s meeting introduced a new two-day format, bringing committee meetings, the General Meeting and a seminar into a compact programme, alongside opportunities for informal discussions and networking.
Committee discussions and shared priorities
The first day included four committee meetings covering Eurobitume’s technical, health and safety, sustainability, and public relations and communications activities. These discussions gave members dedicated time to review progress, share perspectives, and agree on next steps for ongoing projects.
Committee meetings are central to Eurobitume’s work, drawing on the knowledge and experience of member companies to support the development of technical resources, guidance and communications. Meeting in person also allows members to exchange views on issues affecting the sector and strengthen cooperation across the association.
Members’ representatives also defined the budget for 2027 and reflected on the possible expansion of actions of the association at national level.
The day concluded with a reception and dinner, allowing participants to continue their conversations in a more informal setting and reconnect with colleagues from across Europe.
Reviewing progress and looking ahead
On 14 October, members gathered for the General Meeting’s open session. Updates on the association’s activities provided a shared overview of progress and upcoming priorities across Eurobitume’s areas of work.
The discussions reflected Eurobitume’s continued commitment to supporting its members and informing external stakeholders through scientific and technical knowledge, sustainability initiatives, the promotion of safe handling practices and clear communication about bitumen and its applications.
The programme also featured the Carl Robertus Award and an afternoon seminar exploring the performance and sustainability of polymer-modified bitumen. Dedicated news items provide further details on both highlights.
Thank you to our members
The Amsterdam meeting highlighted the value of active member participation in shaping Eurobitume’s work. The expertise and perspectives shared throughout the two days will help guide the association’s ongoing activities.
Eurobitume warmly thanks all members, speakers and participants for their contributions and continued engagement. Members’ feedback on the new two-day format will help inform the organisation of future meetings.
