Jean-Nicolas is Bitumen Technical & Quality Manager for Europe within Shell Trading & Supply and has been the Shell representative on Eurobitume’s board of directors since the end of 2024.
He began his association with Eurobitume in August 2020 when he became the European Technology Manager for Shell Bitumen. He was then an active member of the Technical Committee and of the Bitumen Sustainability Steering group.
At Shell Jean-Nicolas has served in various countries including France, Singapore and the Netherlands. He leads a team of eight experts across the UK, Germany, India, the Netherlands and France who provide technical support and product quality assurance to Shell manufacturing sites and the Shell Bitumen customers. His team also generates comprehensive sustainability data related to Shell bitumen products.
Beyond his managerial responsibilities, Jean-Nicolas is a lecturer at the IFP School in France, where he shares his expertise on base oils and bitumen processes and products.
