Belgium Bitumen & Asphalt Day 2026 gathers stakeholders in Brussels
Eurobitume was pleased to co-organise the 2026 Belgium Bitumen & Asphalt Day with BVA, the Belgian Association of Asphalt Producers. The event was held on 23 April 2026 at the Event Lounge in Brussels. The event brought together around 220 participants and 15 exhibitors, constituting a key meeting point for the bitumen and asphalt community in Belgium and the broader Benelux region.

Centred on the theme “Quality and Innovation”, the programme featured a series of expert presentations addressing key developments across the sector. Topics ranged from the changing geography of bitumen supply and advances in information modelling to material quality, recycling technologies, and strategic perspectives for the road sector. Contributions from research institutions and industry experts also highlighted ongoing innovation in asphalt applications and infrastructure projects.
Eurobitume contributed to the programme through a presentation by Brice Delaporte, Sustainability Lead, who addressed the Life Cycle Analysis of bitumen and polymer modified bitumen (PMB), as well as perspectives in the context of the Construction Products Regulation. His presentation provided valuable insights into the evolving regulatory landscape and underscored the importance of robust, science-based methodologies for assessing sustainability performance across the value chain.
The presentations concluded with closing remarks by Ian Lancaster, Eurobitume focal point for the Benelux region, who highlighted the importance of continued collaboration across the industry and thanked all participants for their active engagement.
Alongside the conference sessions, the venue included an exhibition area that provided a dynamic space for exchange, where participants could engage directly with companies showcasing the latest products, technologies and services. This combination of technical content and exhibition fostered productive discussions and knowledge sharing throughout the day.
The event concluded with a networking reception, offering further opportunities for participants to connect, exchange views and strengthen professional relationships.
Eurobitume would like to thank all speakers, exhibitors and participants for their active contribution to a successful Belgium Bitumen & Asphalt Day 2026, reinforcing the importance of collaboration within the industry.
