Eurobitume has produced an easy to read, two page, ‘Bitumen and Additives – at a glance’ fact sheet, which provides a quick overview about why and how different types of additives can be used to modify the physical properties and performance of bitumen, and what important factors should be considered before they are introduced.
Below clear Why and How headings, the fact sheet summarises some reasons why different types of additive or modifier are introduced and how these impact the performance and alter the composition of bitumen.
