Short educational animations to help conduct accurate bitumen tests
As the voice of the bitumen industry, Eurobitume is committed to providing clear guidance that supports high standards across the industry. In an environment where technical information is often complex and fragmented, Eurobitume plays a critical role in setting out best practice based on technical expertise.
Introducing Eurobitume’s Educational training
videos
In this context, Eurobitume has produced an initial three publicly available practical educational training videos to help accurately and consistently conduct three common bitumen tests: Ageing Conditioning, DSR and Rheological, and Bending Beam Rheometer (BBR). They are are freely available to download from the Eurobitume website here and on Eurobitume’s YouTube channel.
These animations were developed by the Eurobitume Technical Committee , that recognised the need for guidance that is not only technically accurate but also easy to apply in practice. The Committee set out to translate key Technical Information Sheets (TIS) into practical, step-by-step visual explanations of how tests should be performed.
By complementing written guidance with clear visual tools, Eurobitume seeks to help practitioners apply test methods consistently and with confidence. This initiative reinforces Eurobitume’s role as a trusted reference point for the industry, providing up-to-date, reliable advice that reflects current best practice.
Building on this work, Eurobitume plans to develop a further three animations this year, continuing its commitment to supporting the industry with clear, consistent and practical technical guidance.
