Eurobitume shares bitumen and sustainability expertise at conference in Norway
‘Sustainability, longevity and HSE’ was the theme of the Norwegian Asphalt Association’s recent annual seminar, NABin 2024, in Oslo, where Eurobitume Sustainability Lead Dr Brice Delaporte shared Eurobitume’s expert insights into bitumen and sustainability and updated delegates about Eurobitume’s important ongoing Life Cycle Assessment of bitumen study.
The 50 bitumen industry stakeholder attendees, comprising representatives from manufacturers, contractors, road authorities, academic institutions and equipment suppliers, also heard Brice talk about Eurobitume’s work on the development of standardised complementary product category rules (c-PCR) for the environmental declaration of bitumen and bituminous binders.
“Sustainability is a very important issue for our members and one which Eurobitume is fully engaged with. This seminar provided an excellent opportunity to share key details of our ongoing activities on bitumen sustainability with bitumen industry stakeholders”, explained Brice.
