Eurobitume New Year’s Reception 2026, an evening of insights and exchange in Paris

Eurobitume was pleased to welcome over 110 participants to its New Year’s Reception 2026, held on 22 January 2026 at the Maison des Travaux Publics in Paris. This annual event is a key and long-standing moment in Eurobitume’s calendar, providing an important opportunity to bring together members and stakeholders from across the bitumen value chain.

The second part of the programme focused on regulatory and technical developments relevant to the road sector. Pascal Rossigny (French Ministry of Transport) updated the audience with the latest news regarding the implementation works of the new Construction Products Regulation for Road Construction Products. Claude Giorgi (Eiffage), speaking on behalf of Routes de France, shared the conclusions concerning the development of a rapid test method to determine the emissive character of bitumen, while Stéphane Lavaud from Université Gustave Eiffel shared research progress on alternative and innovative binders. Finally, Sébald Turpin (Routes de France) addressed the question of the accounting of the biogenic carbon in road infrastructure and biomaterials, including measurement before and after ageing of binders and asphalt mixtures.

Participants then moved to the reception, where the informal setting provided an opportunity to continue discussions, exchange perspectives, and strengthen professional connections.

Eurobitume would like to thank all speakers and participants for their active engagement and contribution to a successful New Year’s Reception 2026, setting a constructive tone for collaboration and dialogue in the year ahead.
