Registration open for the 12th ‘Open-to-all’ webinar on Performance-based Testing webinar
Registration is now open for Eurobitume’s 12th open-to-all educational webinar, which will take place on the 4th of March from 10 CET and focus on performance-based testing of bitumen. The webinar aims to improve the understanding of how bitumen performance in service evolves under different loading and temperature conditions.

This rheology-focused webinar will provide participants with an overview of current performance-based testing approaches and explain why traditional, empirical, product standard–governed test methods are often insufficient to describe or predict the real performance of bitumen in service.
Following a concise introduction to the fundamentals of rheology, the webinar will explore advanced rheological techniques and test methods commonly used to assess bitumen behaviour across a wide range of temperatures and stress levels. These will include:
- Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR – EN 14770)
- Bending Beam Rheometer (BBR – EN 14771)
- Multiple Stress Creep and Recovery Test (MSCRT – EN 16659)
The session will also address the importance of ageing state in performance-based testing and will feature an engaging demonstration to support understanding of commonly used rheology terminology.
For those interested in further exploring the educational content, recordings of Eurobitume’s previous webinars are available on the education and training section of the Eurobitume website. These on-demand sessions cover a wide range of topics, including What is Bitumen?, Bitumen Chemistry, Bitumen Testing and Bitumen Specifications providing additional technical insight for both newcomers and experienced practitioners.
Participants interested in attending this upcoming webinar are invited to register here and consult the Eurobitume website for further information details.
