Eurobitume President Pavel Kriz and Sustainability Lead and Focal Person for France Dr Brice Delaporte opened the event, welcomed attendees and gave a brief introduction to Eurobitume and key figures in France.

Eurobitume’s HSE and Technical Leads, Dr Anja Sörensen (HSE) and Dr Ian Lancaster (Technical), provided overviews of the association’s HSE and Technical activities, before Dr Brice Delaporte delivered an eagerly anticipated update on Eurobitume’s LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) 4.0 Report.

Following a lively Q&A session, Olivier Moglia (TotalEnergies), Chair of the Standardisation Committee CEN TC336 on bitumens and bituminous binders, spoke about the new Construction Production Regulation and its consequences for standardisation.

Invited guest speaker Cédric Leroux, Directeur Technique PN IDEE, Colas, then gave attendees an overview of the status of the new IDEE research project, which is looking at low-carbon infrastructure with bitumen emulsion mixtures.

The presentations part of the evening concluded with a few closing words from Eurobitume Director General Siobhan McKelvey, who drew attendees’ attention to a number of future Eurobitume events including the next E&E Event, on 11-12th June 2026, which will take place in Austria’s beautiful capital city, Vienna.

Many attendees, speakers and members of the Eurobitume team then enjoyed the traditional Eurobitume drinks reception, where they networked and celebrated the New Year and the bitumen industry.
