Following the success of the E&E Event 2026 in Vienna, momentum is already building towards the next major gathering of Europe’s asphalt and bitumen community: the 9th E&E Congress, taking place in Madrid from 10–12 May 2028.
The recently launched E&E Congress 2028 website offers an initial look at the new edition, and visitors can now subscribe to the event newsletter to receive the latest Congress news and announcements directly.
The return to Madrid makes this edition particularly exciting. The E&E Congress was originally due to take place in the Spanish capital in 2020 but could not go ahead as planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eight years later, EAPA and Eurobitume are looking forward to finally bringing the Congress to Madrid and welcoming professionals from across the asphalt and bitumen value chain.
The 2026 E&E Event in Vienna once again demonstrated the strength of our sector and the value of coming together to exchange knowledge, explore emerging developments, and build new connections. The 2028 Congress will build on this momentum, offering another important opportunity for the industry and scientific community to meet, learn from each other, collaborate and look ahead.
With preparations now underway and a call for abstracts about to be launched, there will be many developments to share in the coming months. Newsletter subscribers will be among the first to receive updates on the Congress programme, key dates, registration, opportunities to contribute, sponsorship and exhibition possibilities, and everything else being developed for this long-awaited edition.
